Greenpeace International - SLAPP Suit

Still from “SLAPP Suit", a Don’t Panic film for Greenpeace International

Greenpeace International tasked us with creating a campaign that could raise awareness of SLAPPs: lawsuits used by the powerful to intimidate and silence activists, journalists, whistleblowers, organisations and ordinary people.

Our key insight was that while SLAPPs are legally complex, their emotional impact is brutally simple: they are designed to isolate, restrict and suppress anyone who dares to speak out.

We created SLAPP SUIT: a chilling hero film that turns legal intimidation into wearable horror.

Starring Javier Bardem and Yasmin Finney, the film uses the double meaning of a “suit” to make audiences feel the threat of a SLAPP before they understand the acronym.

The campaign launched across Greenpeace International channels, supported by teaser assets, stills and press outreach, asking audiences to watch, share and resist the silencing of those who challenge power.
